This story began in 2021, with a simple reply to a badminton-related tweet. As a badminton enthusiast, I responded without much thought. I had followed Vaishali earlier, but I never imagined that one small interaction would turn into a lifelong friendship.

A year later, on Vaishali’s birthday, she wore her grandmother’s saree—a treasured keepsake filled with memories. She wanted a few photographs in it, and we decided to head to Pebbles Beach on ECR (East Coast Road), Chennai for a relaxed birthday photoshoot.

The setting was perfect for a beach portrait session in Chennai. The sea breeze, soft evening light, and quiet shoreline created a beautiful atmosphere. At one point, Vaishali sat by the shore, facing the ocean, and began singing Netru Avan Irundhaan. The moment felt cinematic, so I quickly recorded a short video for social media. I asked her to hold onto that melancholic mood—but she couldn’t stop laughing. Out of six clips, five were filled with her laughter. And honestly, nothing makes me happier than seeing her smile so freely.

During that shoot, I jokingly told her she’d one day return to this very beach with her fiancé. She took it seriously and made a quiet promise to herself—that if she ever got married, she’d come back to this spot for her pre-wedding photoshoot in Chennai.

Fast forward to 2023, just before her 29th birthday, and we found ourselves back at the same ECR beach—this time for her pre-wedding shoot. What started as a casual birthday session had come full circle into a beautiful love story.

It’s a special feeling to photograph not just a client, but a best friend. This blog features both the pre-wedding photos and the wedding moments of Vaishali, someone whose journey I’ve been lucky enough to witness closely. The title “Organic Love Story” has a deeper meaning—but that’s a story for another day.
